Since 1987, we have sought to improve the places where we live and work by partnering with and giving back to area charities, philanthropies and civic groups. Many of our principals and staff members volunteer or have active leadership roles in a number of organizations vital to our local communities, including:

Barnes Foundation

The mission of the Barnes Foundation, which dates back to its founding in 1922, is the “promotion of the advancement of education and the appreciation of the fine arts.”  In furtherance of its mission, the Barnes Foundation promotes appreciation of the arts and horticultural science, through the preservation, presentation, and interpretation of the collections of Laura L. and Albert C. Barnes.  The Foundation will engage diverse audiences through its exceptional collections and related high-quality programs that reflect a broad range of periods and cultures and build on the founders’ innovative educational vision of transforming lives though the arts and horticulture.

Beth Judah Temple

Beth Judah Temple is the first and only conservative synagogue located at the southern New Jersey Shore area.  Located in Wildwood, New Jersey, BJT is a destination point for all Jews wishing to connect to their religious roots.  Beth Judah has always practiced Conservative Judaism but over the years has adapted to a more liberal-minded faith and congregation.  Today, BJT welcomes all Jews of all denominations to come, visit, worship, celebrate, share and learn about its beautiful heritage and faith!

Camp No Worries

Camp No Worries

For one week every summer, children with cancer and their siblings can relax, have fun and forget about their troubles at Camp No Worries, a program of the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties. All campers are dealing with a diagnosis of cancer in some way--whether they are patients, survivors, siblings or bereaved siblings.  Run completely by dedicated volunteers, Camp No Worries is a non-profit organization that receives funding through financial support of community organizations, businesses, foundations and individuals. At Camp No Worries, pediatric oncology nurses, social workers, child life specialists, cabin counselors, program heads and other camp staff are selectively chosen for their experience with and enthusiasm for working with children with cancer.

Center for Grieving Children

A place of healing and hope for children and families, and a resource for professionals who care about children, The Center for Grieving Children is a safe and caring place where young people and their families who are grieving a death can find help to grow through the healing process.  The organization’s work is based on a deep respect for the individual’s experience of grief, the healing potential of peer group support, and the value of adult mentoring.

Child Home and Community

Started in 1980 by a school nurse and a teacher, Chid Home and Community's mission is to meet the physical, emotional and education needs of pregnant and parenting teens.  The organization's goal is to ensure healthy births, enhance family stability and promote self-sufficiency.  CHC sponsors free childbirth classes, support groups, career counseling and other advocacy services to teens throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties of Pennsylvania.

A national nonprofit fighting to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, CureDuchenne was created to help the patients and their families cope with this debilitating disease.  The organization raises funds and awareness to support the research and the programs determined to find a cure for this disease that affects over 300,000 children worldwide.

DHT is the leading voice for historic preservation in Miami-Dade County.  Founded as a nonprofit membership organization in 1972, DHT works to enrich the quality of life for the entire community by sustainably preserving the best of the past for the future.  DHT is committed to advocating on behalf of Dade's historic properties and for sustainable community revitalization solutions on a local, state and national level. Efforts include active participation in preservation and planning issues, drafting of position statements, testifying before preservation boards and commissions, and working with the media and community leaders.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation

St. Baldrick’s Foundation

By working closely with leading pediatric oncologists, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation determines the most promising research to fund and create funding priorities to make the greatest impact for children with cancer.  The Foundation raises money for childhood cancer research primarily through head-shaving events.  Volunteers sponsored by family, friends and employers, shave their heads in solidarity with children who typically lose their hair during cancer treatment.  “St. Baldrick” is a playful combination of “bald” and “St. Patrick’s Day”—the day the Foundation’s first event began in 2000.”

An annual charity wine auction, Uncorked for Kids raises funds to provide health and nutritional programs for children and their families in the Philadelphia area.  Proceeds from the events enable non-profit organizations The Food Trust and Drueding Center to partner, ensuring that formerly homeless women and their children can build the foundation for a healthy life.

United Way is a nonprofit organization focusing on identifying and resolving pressing community issues.  Their intent is to make positive changes in communities through partnerships with schools, government agencies, businesses, organized labor, financial institutions, community development corporations, voluntary and neighborhood associations, the faith community, and others. The main issues United Way focuses on include education, income and health, but vary due to local need.
