Working along with other members of Wescott?s  Leadership, Client Services, Operations and Administrative teams, Scott plays a central role in defining  Wescott?s Florida business development goals and strategies, identifying, cultivating and maintaining core Centers of Influence and  lead sources, meeting with prospective clients and facilitating the implementation of our Florida client wealth management strategies and services.Prior to joining Wescott,  Scott accumulated more than 22 years of Trust and Investment experience working with such organizations as SunTrust, NationsBank,  BankBoston, Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust and most recently, Coconut Grove Bank.  During his 10+ years at Gibraltar, Scott served as the organization?s  Senior Vice President/Chief Investment Officer and helped to start a de novo Wealth Management Group in Miami where he managed investment portfolios, trusts and tax-deferred accounts for select institutional, endowment, foundation and high net worth clients using an open architecture investment platform developed by Wescott Financial Advisory Group LLC.  In 2002 Scott assumed a strategically important sales role as Gibraltar?s Senior Vice President- Wealth Management Specialist working with directly with all of the Bank?s key prospects and  Centers of Influence.In 2008 Scott joined Coconut Grove Bank as Senior Vice President-Wealth Management Specialist/Relationship Manager. Working as part of a six-person lift out team to start a private banking division and strengthen that organization?s wealth management division,  Scott focused his efforts on the acquisition of new business.Scott received his MBA from the University of Miami, his BS from Babson College and his National Trust School Degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.  He is married with two children and is actively involved in the St. Hugh Catholic Church and School where he and his family attend.
