Tim Yan is an Assistant Financial Advisor with Wescott, working primarily with principals and financial advisors to develop materials and reports for clients and prospective clients. His responsibilities are related to all facets of financial planning, investment portfolios and wealth management, beginning with the assimilation and organization of information, and systems integration. Tim partners with Wescott’s principals and financial advisors during quarterly portfolio reviews and also assists them in the development of investment implementation plans, planning updates, reports and recommendations. Tim is a member of Wescott’s Portfolio Strategy Group, participating in the ongoing due diligence and evaluation of investment managers and strategies. Before joining Wescott in 2011, Tim was an independent benefits consultant with a number of small mid-Atlantic companies, helping them define and manage employee benefit, 401(k) and defined contribution plans. Prior to his consultant position, he was a pension plan administrator with an actuarial firm in New York. Tim is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, the Financial Planning Association and the National Association of Professional Financial Advisors. A graduate of City University of New York’s Baruch College, Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in math with a concentration in actuarial science. While there, he held several internships with a variety of insurance and finance organizations. Tim resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife, Elaine Delos Reyes.
