Wescott Financial Advisory Group LLC Welcomes Karen B. McIntyre, CFP®
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Wescott Financial Advisory Group LLC, an SEC-registered wealth management firm serving high-net-worth individuals and institutions, is pleased to name Karen B. McIntyre, CFP® Managing Director and Senior Financial Advisor. She will work out of the firm’s Philadelphia office where she will be responsible for providing financial planning and wealth management advice and services, cultivating new clients and working with Wescott’s leadership and professional teams.
McIntyre has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry counseling wealthy families. She specializes in working with women, professionals and small business owners, as well as clients who are newly widowed or divorced. Prior to joining Wescott, McIntyre served as a wealth advisor at United Capital of Philadelphia, where she focused on working with women in transition and upper level pharmaceutical executives.
“Karen is an ideal fit for Wescott because of her strong Philadelphia ties and keen business acumen,” said Wescott founder and CEO Grant Rawdin. ”Her experience with women in transition will fit in nicely with our existing practice, and we look forward to her building her network with us.”
McIntyre’s arrival marks another key executive hiring at Wescott, as it continues to add staff as well as grow its client base and assets under management. Wescott hires “subject matter experts” as financial advisors whose intellectual capabilities and experience advance the plan that Rawdin developed when he founded the firm in 1987. Built upon his background as a tax and business attorney, he and his partners have structured the firm on client referrals and through strategic partnerships with other firms.
Today, Wescott is one of the nation’s largest registered independent advisors with $1.6 billion in assets under management – and managed from offices in Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; and Boca Raton and Miami, FL.
“Joining Wescott makes sense for me because I share their philosophy and mission of helping clients achieve their goals,” McIntyre said. “I feel that I am my clients’ personal CFO, helping them overcome the many pressures they face ensuring their career and personal financial objectives are addressed.”
McIntyre is a Certified Financial Planner, a National Association of Personal Financial Advisors-Registered Financial Advisor, member of the Financial Planning Association and has served as a board member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. Active in the Bucks and Montgomery County communities, McIntyre gives her time to many local cultural and educational institutions. She received her undergraduate degree from Ithaca College.
